Carry On My Marine

 Carry On My Marine

He left early one morning and I heard him saying, I'm off to Quantico for
officer's training.
He's been enlisted now for six years,to my surprise this time I cried no tears.
It's never fun or easy when he is away, the hard part is at the end of my day.
I want to tell him the flowers I planted are growing so tall, but for three
weeks he will be unable to write or call.
You are a candidate now for the time you are their, your a SGT. in the Marines
they don't even care.
Soon he will be an officer, a leader of Marines,he has it in him, for his
leadership has always been seen.
You are my idol, my strength, my soul, so carry on my Marine as a Lieutenant
you will grow.
