Commander, Marine

Commander, Marine

Commander, Marine
Bent down to touch the earth
Looking beyond the horizon
Studies the harsh surroundings
Making sure it all ties in
Turns to see his comrades
Mighty warriors in his care
Decisions he must bravely make
To protect from the enemies lair
Only thought to make a move
The direction, victory stand
Must not lose a single grain
Of strategically earned sand
His tanks, all lined up
In a mighty rugged row
Searching the vast horizon
Knowing beforehand, the enemies go!
With a shout, a wave, a simple word
Numbers fill the line
Strike with accurate force
Won another inch in time.
Sweat and worn commander, Marine
Now rests on one knee
Mighty warrior bows his head
GOD knows, FREEDOM ISN"T FREE!
