The wind blows cold

Here's a poem that I wrote several years ago

The wind blows cold, as the ocean swallows the sun
One less day to go, as another day is done
But you can still see the loneliness in the sailor's eyes
Knowing his life is filled with sad goodbyes
He has hopes and dreams of being in your arms once again
But memories of you will keep his heart warm until then.

It's short but sweet.
