Poetry
We are
husband's ship pull out of the bay.
We do not carry a weapon
but we fight
We do not stand watch
but we are always watching
We do not walk the decks
or climb the ladders
but we know how
We have never ridden out a storm
or been rocked to sleep by waves
but we sleep with the ocean in our ears
We are not sailors
but we love one
We are the women who look to the sea
until the sea brings him home
